Director Amahl Bishara is an anthropologist who has done research on the production of U.S. news about Palestinians and Palestinians' experiences of confinement. She received a Certificate in Culture and Media from New York University, where she also earned her Ph.D. in anthropology.
Producer Nidal Al-Azraq is a student and Arabic teacher who has long been involved with community activism in Aida Refugee Camp, where he was born and raised. This is their first film together, though they are co-authors of the award-winning children's book, The Boy and the Wall.
